Both installments of Pilot Talk were well received and Spitta just dropped part 3, perfecting his trifecta of stoner rhymes and dreams. When no album materialized, Spitta later teamed up with Dame Dash, before breaking away to create an empire that was all his own: Jet Life.Ģ010 marked a big year for Curren$y, gracing the prestigious XXL Freshmen List and releasing the critically acclaimed Pilot Talk, that would become his own Carter series of sorts. Two years later, he joined the Cash Money/Young Money roster and snagged a highly coveted guest spot on Lil Wayne’s Carter II.
The Louisiana native was first signed to Master P’s No Limit Records. Curren$y has had a championship-level independent career after his few attempts at the mainstream went sour.
